The Surfer
(Saturn, Uranus, Mars, Black Moon Lilith)
A dynamic pattern that suggests the ability to navigate in uncertain times and situations. The goal of this pattern is to master the unexpected, recognize opportunity, and remain calm under pressure. The planet at the apex, or the tip of the mast, disperses the information it gathers from the long aspect lines to appropriately accomplish its goal of adapting to an ever changing environment. The tension created by the planets in square is a necessary element of balance for this shape as it generates the information needed to direct your attention. Once this focus is achieved via the planets in square, an inner calm appears. This inner calm is what anchors our ability to manage the prevailing winds, and stay flexible.
This pattern is made up of several aspect patterns: the Large Learning Circle, The Eye, and the Searcher. With Saturn at the apex of them all, the work we are reconsidering for the future vibration that we are hoping to achieve on a daily basis, is what is directing us. The tension between our old values and our new is what is creating the tension, or wind, to push us into action. In order to find the balance and calm we are seeking we must focus our energies into the actions we are taking on a daily basis now, that reflect the new perspective that we have been working on all year (Mars). All the while, old fears (BML) are lingering in the background around the self-care you put your time and energy into in the past. You may be having flashbacks around the results of this care, or lack thereof. It’s time to recognize that you have a different way of seeing things, based on the new values you have been learning to identify with. This should help you face those fears with ease, knowing you will not make the same “mistakes” again.
Saturn (retro) in Aquarius square Uranus (retro) in Taurus is a major theme for the entire month, and represents the prime moving force in this aspect pattern. Older, simple, traditional values are facing off once again with the futuristic direction we are moving in. The large learning triangle between Saturn, Uranus and Black Moon Lilith has been in effect since Saturn made it to 19° on 9/10. This pattern has us exploring the work that is needed to move past old fears around how we have or have not taken care of ourselves in the past and is helping us recognize that we are no longer the same person. Since we have begun the process of reviewing the values we have identified with in the past, we have really been able to see the effect they have on our lives. This learning triangle aims to create tension between those old values, and the vibration we desire to achieve for the future, so that we may recognize the values that are outdated and potentially holding us back due to those fears around not taking care of yourself appropriately. Mars moved in to create the surfer aspect pattern around 9/16 and has been the inner guiding force that we have been needing to create a new balance inside of this strong learning triangle. The new behaviors that we are starting to try out based on our new perspective will help us to manage the ever changing winds, while keeping us poised in our desired direction. Mars makes semi-sextiles to Uranus and Black Moon Lilith, creating “The Eye” which are helping us to recognize what fears are coming from the old mindset and keeping us focused on the actions we need to consider now so we don’t repeat the past.
