December 5-11

Sun: Sagittarius 13°-20°    Moon: Taurus-Leo

The Sun’s journey through the second decan of Sagittarius is punctuated by a Full Moon in Gemini at 16° that is conjunct Mars (reto). The Sun is not letting its conversation with Mars go unnoticed and, after last week’s oppositions from Venus and Mercury, you may start to have a creeping (if not, flat in your face) sensation that your beliefs ain’t what they used to be and your behaviors are still not matching. Our new story has us ready to open up to a new way of behaving, based on the new information that we are able to take in now. This new way of responding is what our egodrive needs to move us ahead on our new storyline. By the end of the week you may have a completely new action plan for your way forward, with new feelings to hold space for around where you could go next.

Mercury begins the week in conjunction with the Galactic Center, at 27° of Sagittarius and our minds are seeking to connect with the feelings that initiate us into the action we must take to get our minds aligned with our new story. He will make a square to Jupiter in Pisces at 29° on Tuesday and we may have to choose between options that truly help us turn a corner on the old so that we may transition into the new. We must take the actions we feel will be in our highest integrity to create the expansion and growth we need  in our process to follow our ordained path. Mercury moves into Capricorn later in the day, and is quiet for the rest of the week, helping our minds get to work on the new task at hand. Mercury will retrograde in Capricorn on 12/29, and move from 26°-8°. He is still outside of his retrograde shadow this week, so use that to your advantage to get any contracts signed, make business or travel arrangements, buy presents that you are having shipped, etc. Mercury’s retrograde period will be all about the new decisions and commitments we are making for our future, and the new way we must make decisions and commitments for ourselves. This new storyline didn’t come without a 101 nub level. The controller may look the same, but the buttons have been changed. 

Venus in Sagittarius is trailing just behind Mercury and will make her conjunction to the Galactic Center on Thursday, followed by her square to Jupiter on Friday. What our minds are starting to make sense of at the beginning of the week, our heart really starts to open up to at the end of the week, the changes that you are seeking for yourself in this new reality. We are faced with the option of staying where we are, or moving ahead. This is not the time to let lingering fear hold you back, use the bold Sagittarius energy to see what doors open when you push them. Once she moves into Capricorn late Friday evening, will be more inclined to focus  on the task at hand, and organize the details that must be arranged to move from the old storyline to the next. (ok so you built your new house, now you need to go through all of your old stuff you left in that storage unit! ) 

Mars (retro) in Gemini will also be in semi-sextile to Uranus (retro) in Taurus this week at 15° and there could be some significantly heady energy Thursday-Saturday when they are both at the same degree. We are reconsidering everything that we have created and built around the identity of the past and how it used to align with the beliefs that we held. In light of new information that has led us to behave and respond differently, we are needing to open up to a new way of creating for the future that is more aligned with the new values that we are refining. This could lead to some unexpected shifts and changes in how you think about your daily life.

Strong Opposition Energy This Week
Beware heated debates, tug of wars, impulsive behaviors and butting of heads. Tension will be at a maximum with 4 major oppositions happening this week. Be on the lookout for road rage like symptoms, and prescribe your best attitude and maybe a breathing practice or two to get you through. (or just go all out Sag, get drunk and tell em’ what you really think! Honestly, it’s up to you!)


Along with the Full Moon, and the Sun’s opposition to Mars, we have 2 other oppositions worth looking at this week.

Pluto in Capricorn opposite Black Moon Lilith at 26°-27°
As mentioned last week, these two will be in opposition for the next couple of weeks as they both move to 27°. As we are connecting to the feelings we wish to take action on for our new life structures we may be having to face off with some old fears around the actions we have taken (or not taken) in the past around the self-care we felt we needed. In order to get over this fear, you must make sure your plans for the future involve the care you know you need and deserve now. Go ahead, write that scheduled nap/tub soak/long walk/yoga class etc down on your calendar!

Uranus (retro) in Taurus at 15° opposite the South Node in Scorpio at 13°
This is the closest Uranus will get to the North Node since their conjunction this summer, and this opposition to the South Node is worth noting.  We are working to move away from the old identity we held in the past, based on what others believed was best for us, and move forward with the new story that we belong with now. Uranus is in the volatile 2° of separation from the North Node and is creating tension for change based on the new feelings we have. You may be facing off with the belonging others expect you to have and the new belongings you do have. Notice were your beliefs are leading your thoughts to help you open up to a new identity reality, and away from the old.
